MAKEUP-AIR HOODS – OVERVIEW

Ventwell’s Short Cycle Make Up Air with IPS (Internal Perforated Supply) removes grease laden vapors from the air while replacing air without causing negative air pressure. This allows using a fresh air makeup air fan instead of a costly tempered air unit. IPS (Internal Perforated Supply Plenum) takes advantage of the Coanda Effect created inside the hood, further assisting with capture and containment. The design of makeup air hoods allows for the comfort of the employees working in the kitchen to maintain a comfortable temperature for working and does not have hot air blowing down on their head as they are cooking and preparing food.
